Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book with you?

You can contact me via email or with the contact form located in the upper right-hand corner. Currently this is not my full time job so availability can be limited depending on the time of year you are wanting to book. Booking a few months in advance is usually best, especially during the fall/holiday season. Send me your information and what kind of shoot you’re looking for and I’ll let you know if I have any availability. I will do my best to work something out with you.

What time do you schedule your sessions?

Sessions are done in the early morning (a little after sunrise) or in the evening a few hours before sunset. I do not do sessions in the middle of the day.

Do you provide props?
Typically, no. If you’re wanting props (balloons, chalkboard, banner, smash cake, sports equipment, letterman jacket, etc.) included in your photos you will be responsible for bringing those to your session.

Do you shoot weddings?
Currently, no. While weddings are awesome, I prefer portraiture. Less stress! I love doing engagement sessions and bridal portraits and would love to help you get ready for your big day in that way.

Do you reschedule for bad weather?
Definitely. No one wants to have their photos taken in a torrential downpour. I will reschedule for precipitation and winds over 25 miles an hour. However, I do not reschedule due to temperature or cloudy days.

Do I get the digital images from my session?
You will receive all of your edited images in digital format, along with a printing release.

Where do you recommend printing my images?
I highly recommend printing with mpix.com or Artifact Uprising. I do NOT recommend printing at a drug store or any other one-stop shop. I know they’re cheaper but they’re cheaper for a reason. Don’t sacrifice the quality of your photos for a few cents less. Mpix.com often has sales so make sure to sign up with them and keep your eye out for their promotions. You won’t regret it!

What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens. I completely understand. However, your retainer fee is non-refundable. If you need to cancel but would like to reschedule, your retainer fee will be put towards your rescheduled date. Your rescheduled date must be within one year of your original date.

How long will it take to get my images back?
This can vary. Typically 2-3 weeks but depending on the season it could take longer. I will let you know at the time of your session if I will need longer to process your images. I want you to have your images as bad as you do! When they are finished you will be the first to know.
